QUALIFICATIONS
I strive to remain at the forefront of the industry's rapid evolution and advancements, eager to develop and expand my relative skillset within and beyond the expectations of my assigned role(s). In my 20+ years of industry experience, I have progressed from the fundamental basics of tower and cell-site construction to more formalized roles of supervision and management with the greater goal of achieving a comprehensive understanding and mastery of all roles within the wireless and telecommunications industries, and broader technologies relative to the industry throughout its evolution. In reference to installation experience, this includes but is not limited to: Raw land/green field construction, site optimization, surveying/auditing, commissioning, de-commissioning, and troubleshooting of all line and antenna/microwave configurations. I have implemented these skills for all major and most minor carriers. My fluency of Line/Antenna construction extends to all basic and most atypical structural applications such as: Rooftops and custom network designs in metro buildings, high security locations, monopoles, self-supporting and guyed towers, stealth-enclosures, and various atypical structures. Crane and/or complex rigging to install equipment in high traffic, densely populated areas is also a task I am familiar with overseeing. Also competent in various methods of sector reconfiguration, modification, cross-sectorization, and amplification. In addition to the above-mentioned skills I have considerable experience in microwave installations. This includes path alignment, RSL optimization, polarity adjustments, and relative commissioning, integrating, and ensuring optimal communication between host and donor sites, shelter equipment, and the NOC. Fluent in fiber optic installation, OTDR testing, troubleshooting, alarm clearing, backhaul connectivity, router and baseband installation.
While my career began as an installer, once I gained a relative mastery of the above-listed field skills I advanced to managerial positions. Thus far, those have ranged from field supervisor to construction and project management roles. I am comfortable utilizing my skills and knowledge in these positions and am familiar with the many hurdles and difficulties that are often encountered within those roles. I have a strong working knowledge and considerable experience with the following: Site bidding and material estimation, pre-con and bid walks with customer and landlords, project planning and development, creating MOPs and determining processes for specific projects, customer relations and client negotiations, comprehensive resource procurement oversight and management, scoping, permitting, interviewing/staffing of field crews, EH&S inspection and enforcement, engineer documentation interpretation and red-lines, project closeout packages, and driving change order revenue to increase profit margins or interpreting change order submittals from subcontractors to mitigate overpayments. Comfortable handling these tasks at any level as a turf vendor or subcontractor, in-person and remote. I have managed both in-house and subcontractor teams of fluctuating sizes while upholding rigorous industry safety standards, without compromising profit margins. Also have considerable experience in salvage and recovery of failed and mismanaged projects from previous vendors, completing RCA’s and developing more efficient processes to curtail project failures.
-Carriers and clients include: Cingular/AT&T, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile, Verizon, Pocket, Metro PCS, Clearwire, Cricket. I have consistently and successfully completed the above-mentioned tasks and projects while working under scrutiny of Bechtel, Black & Veach, General Dynamics, BNSF, OSHA etc. Just as well, I work very efficiently with little to no supervision.
