My name is Jonathan Sosko. Ive been a Union Millwright since 2011, being apart of both LU# 1090 and 1076. Throughout my career ive expanded my skills from working in steel mills, auto plants, wind turbines, paper mills, foundries, and ethenol plants. I have spent the better half of my career in auto plants, mainly working with power-and-free conveyor, motor and shaft alignment, demolition work, new installs and post maintenance work.
I have spent the majority of this time in auto plants. Proficient in installation and removal of power and free conveyor, take-ups, motors, chain, and VDL's. Layout, blueprint reading, welding/fabrication, aerial lift operation, and rigging are tasks i would also perform on a regular basis.
In 2011, I was accepted into the Millwright apprenticeship program. Throughout my years of working for this local, I spent the majority of the time either in steel mills or auto plants. I performed work such as heavy rigging, welding/fabrication, laser alignment (both gear boxes and motors), installation and demo work. I ran fork trucks, aerial lifts (including articulating booms, straight booms, and scissor lifts).
