
I'm a learner looking to apply my abilities as an accountant. My communication, technical skills, and forward-looking attitude have been used to bring success to teams I'm apart of, having assisted in reducing time consuming activities by 80%, earned accolades for customer experience, and have acquired an associates in accounting. Above all however, I enjoy the exchange of ideas and cultures among diverse perspectives in these teams and continue to learn about others.
In my time as an accounting intern, I handled various tasks in accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, expense tracking, depreciation, and amortization. During this time, I chose and executed my internship project, which reduced the time consumption of two weekly occurring Excel files; the first was reduced from 45-60+ minutes to 3-5 minutes, the second was reduced from 2-3 hours to 15-20 minutes. This reduction in time granted other accountants related to AP a faster turnaround time on communication and related tasks.
This was my second teller position. Wells Fargo in Media, however, has an affluent market and gave me a much-desired experience with mid-size business owners and entrepreneurs. This job was referral-focused and sharpened my understanding of personalizing and connecting the banking experience to each client. As part of the team, I helped secure 1st in our regional branch ranking through my insights into client's accounts and referrals in April 2024.
This was my first experience as a teller in the retail banking industry, however, I was successful out of the gate having earned the title of "Employee of the Quarter" through a successful Legendary Experience Index (LEI) rating and sales. Through my time with TD Bank, I developed a stronger understanding of the retail banking industry, further improving my client-side financials and customer service abilities.
As a customer service associate, my duties were based in food service and customer service. My service to the customers was that of a reliable acquaintance you could always ask for help, ensuring they felt better leaving than how they felt entering the store. This is supported by my frequent scoring of >90% on customer surveys in which my name was mentioned.
