Veteran, clinician-in-training, and neuroscience advocate with a unique blend of lived experience and academic rigor. As a former Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician in the U.S. Air Force, I operated in high-stakes environments across war zones and presidential protection details. Following a service-related traumatic brain injury, I engaged in a multifaceted recovery journey that included conventional therapies and emerging modalities such as ayahuasca, ketamine, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These experiences deepened my curiosity about the brain’s capacity for healing and adaptation.
Currently completing a Master’s in Social Work, I’ve trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while volunteering with MAPS and contributing to psychedelic science conferences. My goal is to investigate how psychedelic compounds and neuromodulation therapies promote plasticity and recovery from trauma. With seven years of supporting hospice patients at Halifax Medical Equipment and 2.5 years mentoring youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters, I bring a service-oriented perspective and a deep commitment to advancing neuroscience research that benefits veterans, first responders, and others facing neurological challenges.
