  • I am a contractor for Bastion Technologies with my primary client is JPL NASA in Pasadena CA.
  • I have been assigned to work on JPL's Flagship Projects first being the Mars 2020, Europa Clipper, and currently Mars Sample Return.
  • I also work on type 1 &2 projects, Psyche, NISAR, CADRE, CRISTAL, NEOS, SWOT, Sentinel-6, MAIA, MIRCAT to name a few.
  • I supported Flight Hardware, Ground Support Equipment, Cables, and Avionics.
  • I documented and submitted Flight Hardware to (HRCR), Ground Support Equipment to (SECR), and presented the results to Assembly Test and Launch Operations (ATLO).

My Responsibilities Included:

  • Two years as a resident QA source at Lockheed Martin in Denver, Colorado.
  • I supported the building of the static load testing and environmental testing of the Flight Aeroshell package, 2 Heat Shields, the Mars Helicopter Deployment System and the integration of the Flight Helicopter to the MHDS.
  • Created Mandatory Inspection Points per Fabrication Process Flow Overview, for Aeroshell, Heat Shields and Mars Helicopter Deployment System.
  • Generated Inspection Reports (IR’s) to receive material, ship material, discrepant material and testing. I also had the QA authority to disposition discrepant material.
  • Supported Aeroshell and Heatshield Static Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • Reviewed Lockheed test procedures M2020-TP-0010_Rev-000, for the Heat Shield Separation Test, I reviewed and added my MIP’s.
  • Verified the assembly and bonding of Acusil sections to the Backshell Interface Plate (BIP).
  • Completed installation of the bond-on’s, installation, separation and cabling of brackets and the beginning stages of the installation of telecom hardware to the BIP & PSS.
  • Compile and present daily highlights and a bi-weekly status report with significant activities and accomplishments to JPL Hardware Quality Assurance leadership team.
  • Interface with customer, design engineers, project manager, and production personnel.
  • Work closely with customer quality, manufacturing and design engineers to support as-designed and as-built verification.
  • Attend customer Preship Reviews, make suggestions and inputs, document and present to JPL HQA Team.
  • I was a resident source for over 1 year at Ametek/PDT, in Goleta California, for the Europa Clipper Thermal Team. I supported the building and testing of thermal motors and mixing vales.

  • OCMMS Orbit Completions Database Administrator and Trainer. Ensured that documents were completed and entered into the database by commissioned deadlines.
  • Monitored contractors & discipline engineers (piping, mechanical, Electrical & Instruments) to ensure that all A & B check sheets were accurately completed. Submitted commissioning dates, in a timely manner, to the Contractors System Administrator (Orbit).
  • Primary Punch List Coordinator for all 3 sites. Manage MC punch list activities with construction manager and discipline leads.
  • Issued daily punch list progress reports & break down reports, by discipline & material, for the Construction Superintendents, Construction Manager and Commissioning Manager.
  • Made sure all punch lists from Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) were cleared before Ready for Commissioning (RFC) walk down.
