• The courses I have taught in my time in The Maryland International School are: IB Visual Arts 1st grade to 12th grade, Library Media 1st grade to 5th grade.
• Lead and created school wide festivals and showcases such as: MDIS Benefit Fashion Show in partnership with the Help-A-Child Fund. This event will now be an annual arts celebration for MDIS that will have a positive impact on the Howard County Community.
  Experience in delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum across diverse subjects, worked on developing and implementing an interdisciplinary unit with mathematics and art during the first semester.
  Chosen to begin and build the PYP library media class to redefine the role of the library.
  Implemented an IB-inspired unit, integrating TOK elements into the curriculum, demonstrating a commitment to IB principles.
  Designed and executed formative/summative assessments aligned with IB guidelines, providing targeted feedback that guided students toward continuous improvement

• The courses I have taught in my time in Benjamin Franklin are: Fundamentals of Art, Graphics, Foundations of Visual Storytelling, AP 2D Art and Design Exploring Graphic Design and Architecture.
• Helped plan and presented art displays and exhibitions to showcase student work for school and community. Our largest show was held at the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA). Our students also exhibited their self-portraits at the Baltimore Washington International Air Port for their fall 2023 show case.
• Instructed students in various mediums such as painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, film and photography.
• Lead and created school wide festivals and showcases such as: Our Performing and Fine Arts Night Student Showcase and Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Festival.
• Collaborated with other teachers to create an interdisciplinary approach to teaching fine arts.
• Organized field trips to museums and galleries to expose students to different forms of art.
• Incorporated current events into class discussions, such as local art exhibitions, scholarship opportunities, artist profiles and artist talks.

• Planned, implemented, and assessed thematic art units in
  Advanced Art classes. Designed units for Advanced drawing and painting surrealist landscape unit and En plein air landscape (Painting outside) unit.
• Designed units for Intro to Digital Art and Advanced Digital Art. Creating an animated documentary unit with a focus on Premier Pro and After Effects tools and techniques.
• Taught technical lessons in oil painting, drawing, filmmaking and animation processes.
• Earned positive feedback from parents regarding classroom instruction and student learning success.

• Plan, teach, and assess units in bookbinding, drawing, panting, puppetry and sculptural forms for grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Design visual supports and graphic organizers to meet IEP accommodations and differentiated learning.
• Implement arts integration projects in Pre-K through 8th grade levels corresponding to math and history units.
• Instructed after school art club in short lessons of creating 3D sculptural chocolate boxes.
• Each unit was translated for ESL learners. As well as classes where taught in english and in Spanish for more accessibility. Translated school flyers and helped translate live during zoom school events

• Created lesson plans to incorporate culturally relevant topics and include immersive activities for student engagement.
• Co-taught and designed a collage and filmmaking unit on celebrating diversity and identity.
• Led class discussions on identity, belonging, and making personal meaning in art. Engaged students and boosted understanding of material using focused instructional strategies and hands-on activities.

• Provided students with one-on-one lesson review sessions, after school tutoring and helped with any materials questions.
• Planned, implemented, and assessed short film and video unit in Art 1 class, grade 9. Units included storyboarding, filmmaking, and peer critique for virtual learning, screened final short films online!
• Worked with classroom teacher to provide engaging learning environment for Art students by creating demos and supplemental materials to promote different types of learners.
