
Compassionate, creative, and effective teacher with over 20 years teaching high school drama, over 30 years writing, directing, and acting as a volunteer in drama at church, and over 20 years coaching students in the GHSA One Act Play and Literary Competitions. Consistently helps students gain confidence, develop creative thinking skills, build friendships, and improve socialization through involvement with theatrical performance. Hardworking and energetic with a desire to provide an environment where students can learn, be challenged, and gain confidence that will positively affect their lives.
Auditioned and directed a diverse group of 22 actors including children, teenagers, and adults for a community event planned for the annual "Scare on the Square" event in Bulloch County. Worked with Averitt Center staff on scheduling, rehearsals, locating and ordering costumes, finding and building props and set pieces, and selecting sound effects and lighting, for performances.
