Managed build process of new plastic injection tooling. From initial quoting stage through PPAP and Start of Production. This included design review, following timelines and reviewing dimensional layouts upon completion. Modifying tools to produce parts to print and in the end meet budget and timeline set forth. Also, maintained tooling during the production stages and would troubleshoot problems and damage which may occur.

Promoted to this position after spending 10 years as tool maker. I was responsible for meeting monthly sales requirements and quoted budgets. Established time lines with customers and held weakly reviews with the shop floor to evaluate on time deliveries. Was responsible for created new business relationships while maintaining the current customer base. Submitted all quotes for new tooling and repairs to customers. Would meet in person to review new business opportunities. Conducted design reviews either in person or via conference calls. Ordered all steel, mold base, and components and supplied the package to the tool shop for manufacturing. Acted as liaison between the customer, designer, and tool shop to answer any questions.

Started at the ground level and was promoted to CNC supervisor with three direct reports after just a few years. Received designs from the mold designer and created the 3D CAD geometry for tool pathing (CNC) and also created trode files for the EDM department. Was the primary person leading the build of all new tooling and also directing other tool makers on new builds and tooling modifications. Ran various tool shop machines such as, manual mills, surface grinders, wet grinders, CNC machining centers, RAM EDM, and wire machines. Met with customers to review dimensional layout reports and to implement tooling modifications.
