Assisted in the formulation and execution of company policies and was directly responsible for Cox Aviation Flight Operations Pilots as assigned. This entailed facilitating resources and ensuring direct reports have the resources and support needed to operate efficiently and effectively within their roles. I was able to oversee the administration of all supervisory activities for flight operations personnel including: performance appraisals, counseling, development, disciplinary actions, safety and security coverage.

Responsible for training and guiding all new hires through our initial operating experience program. Conducted annual standards rides with our pilots to ensure all company SOPs are met. Identified patterns that could be have resulted in undesirable outcomes or compromised safety and developed corrective action plans. Implemented and optimized new curriculum and day-to-day policies to align department strategies with industry best practices. Made and submitted reports detailing findings and any actions taken. Constructed and taught numerous classes including: General Emergency Procedures and Egress, Winter and Summer Ops, High Risk airport environments, etc. Emailed updates and the latest G280/G650 news to flight crew members.

Routinely met with other Cox Aviation safety committee members to discuss and implement new procedures to enhance safety throughout our department. Helped construct, improve, and audit our Flight Ops Manual. Helped develop our Continuous Improvement Opportunity Form. Recognized, documented, and advised on removal of hazards. Inspected aircraft for adherence to fire, hazard, and safety guidelines.

Represented Cox Aviation at the inaugural meeting comprised of over twenty of the largest flight departments in the southeast. Collaborated and shared ideas with other members to help develop our own best practices and procedures. Traveled to various locations to meet and view other aviation departments.
