Work History

Puerto Rico National Guard
Juana Diaz , PR
2023.06 - Current
  • During my deployment in Iraq from MAY 2023 to FEB 2024, our actual X-ray tech was hurt and I was assigned the role after he left. I have an associates degree of radiology on the civilian side and used my previously acquired knowledge to help accomplish the mission. Along with being a combat medic, I exercised the role of X-ray tech simultaneously. I was the NCOIC ( Supervisor) of the X-ray area. I functioned as a medium between Providers/ Doctors at the base I was stationed at and the Radiologist stationed through out the Middle East. At first communication was poor between Doctors and Radiologist, but I took it upon myself to bridge the gap by arranging meetings via video call and in person to be able to work more effectively. Utilizing my knewly acquired position, I cross trained other medics on the basic knowledge of radiology as well, to help better accomplish the mission at hand.
