My first year of direct sales was under Nelson Staffing as contracted work selling Google Fiber internet to residential customers. Expectations typically looked like a 12-8pm work shift with knocking 100 doors a day and a monthly goal of 20-25 connected customers.
With my time at Nelson I consistently hit the required targets month after month and even broke the record for most amount of sales in day. Given the opportunity I met with our Head of Sales who convinced me to become a full time Google employee.
Now working directly for Google Fiber my expectations to hitting the monthly target was raised by 50%. Due to my raise in expectations I shifted my focus to upselling our higher end products to my cold calling customers. With the challenge I still consistently hit target month after month by hitting more doors and sent emails to new leads before and after my working shift. I become a veteran at our company and provided comprehensive product training to new hires, contributing to their rapid integration into the sales team.
