  • Nominated as a first responder during Michael and sent up North to help the City of Marianna, that had never experienced an emergency of this magnitude. I helped Coordinate with City Manager and Crews on how to clean debris off right of way and get roads open again. We were able to share our knowledge with them so they could get their community back up and running. Within two weeks of being there we were able to get almost 75% of the debris removed and disposed of. It was a great feeling also to know that we were part of something bigger than just ourselves and our community by giving back to others who did not have the means or experience to handle a large-scale disaster such as this one.
