General Laborer

Ryan Companies

  • Maintained clean and organized worksites, minimizing hazards and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Loaded, unloaded, and moved material to and from storage and production areas.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, completing physically demanding tasks under varying conditions.
  • Performed general housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Operated heavy machinery such as aerial lifts, Lull, industrial forklifts, Skid loader, and many other gas/electric powered machinery.
  • Demolition: exterior and interior demo work. At Ryan I had the opportunity to work and learn how to professionally demo. I have worked on many Target remodels, Amazon remodels, and high rises. From taking an entire room down, safely and efficiently. To demoing rock face, brick and block etc. Using machines and power tools I am well educated about and have much experience with.
  • Communication is another attribute I’d like to believe sets me apart from other laborers in the trade. Communicating with other employees and trades to ensure we are all on the same page and working effectively together.

Masonry Tender (Laborer)

Hollenback And Nelson
01.2023 - 08.2023
  • Duties consisted of racking out materials for masons, making their job as easy possible so that they can efficiently perform their job duties
  • Making intricate saw cuts when necessary for fitting custom pieces into the wall.
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffold systems. Doing this takes focus and teamwork. Especially working in the cold 5 frames high, have to communicate effectively with your operator for loading frames and scaffold onto the forks.
  • Temping and mixing mud is another task I performed. Often times needing to add a little water if the mud is too hard or powder if it’s too soft.
  • Landing materials on our scaffold systems by communicating via signaling or 2way radio with operator.
  • Building poly enclosures for heat and cover in winter months. 3-5 masons on any given day.
  • Using partner saws and wet saws for cutting brick or block to certain dimension.
  • Always maintaining safe and clean workplace for myself and the crew. Especially when working off scaffolding systems.
  • Learning fast on the job. Tending was a great experience for me. It was face paced and always changing.
  • Communication with your masons. Always checking in and getting as much information I can because it would make both of our jobs easier.
