  • Provide support for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors for college/unit fundraising priorities. Play a key role in creating a meaningful experience for both major gift donors as well as those considering their first significant gift to Lehigh.
  • Assist in the cultivation of prospects by sharing appropriate and targeted Lehigh related new articles, opportunities for engagement, etc.
  • Arrange and manage details related to volunteer engagement and outreach, including outreach committees; assist in preparing meeting briefings for key university leaders in coordination with Director of Development.
  • Ensure a consistent level of service to college/unit donors, including unmanaged prospects; assist with communications, including mailings, email outreach, invitations, phone calls, etc.
  • Serve as the college/unit annual giving project liaison, working with faculty, Lehigh Fund, development communications to project manage all annual giving campaigns to secure restricted annual gifts to the respective college/unit
  • Manage a small portfolio of donors who are significant to the college/unit (i.e. perpetual stewardship, stewardship for this campaign to free up room in MGO portfolio, long term cultivation)
  • Donor engagement strategies and execution. Pipeline Management - Support college portfolio and pipeline with Director of Development and front line gift officers, including periodic portfolio reviews, recording contacts, editing gift pipeline, etc
  • Visit scheduling and preparation - Assist Director of Development and college/unit gift officer(s) in scheduling prospect visits. Includes developing prospect lists using a variety of sources, including ARGOS, statistical analysis, AlumniFinder, Linkedin, regional and industry publications.
  • Work with coordinators, DAR Communications and college/unit staff to create a standard discovery packet and project packets (ie., college-specific, parents, athletics, etc.) to be updated periodically
  • Maintain a library of resource materials including print, online, Confluence, etc., supportive to the college/unit.
  • Solicitation support - Gather information and assist in the preparation of proposals for gift solicitation and prepare and update Overture web pages for college projects and programs.
  • Stewardship - Prepare personalized, sometimes handwritten, gift acknowledgement letters
  • Manage "thank you letter" process in support of college/program gifts at all levels
  • Steward selected college endowed funds by developing impact materials for DODs and major gift officers to share with donors.
  • Develop/manage an annual stewardship letter/report for the college/unit.
  • Help facilitate, in conjunction with DAR partners, an annual event within each college/unit that can be used as a stewardship event for that college
  • Events - Provide support for college/unit events, which may include working with host(s), developing invitations list, prepare and send invitations, recording RSVPs, preparing bios of event attendees, preparing name tags, conducting follow-up on calls on invitations. Manage lists of LGO prospects suitable for engagement opportunities in the colleges - to speak to classes, host classes (NYC, Philly, etc.), lecture, serve on panels, advisory committee membership, etc.
  • Provide development related support to the Director of Development in the management and cultivation of advisory councils and other volunteers.
  • Manage lists of potential advisory council members and work with gift officers who have identified potential prospects for councils and foster relationship building.
  • Maintain ARGOs coding of current and potential college/unit advisory council(s) membership.
  • Campus Visits - Provide support and arrange campus visits for prospects and highly rated prospective families, including schedule coordination with college/unit faculty and staff, university administration, arranging rooms, other reservations, etc.
  • Administrative Duties - Manage inquiries from the colleges (as appropriate) on development related questions, such as lists requests, questions on account activities, event information, address requests, prospect status queries, etc.
  • Manage inquiries from gift officers and other DAR partners regarding college/unit related information (such as programs, schedules, events, dean's office questions, etc.)
  • Rectify gift and account questions.
  • Pull and format college and project gift reports and summaries
  • Special Project Management - In collaboration with DoD, manage selected projects by defining project scopes and objectives and working with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Coordinate internal resources for the execution of projects.
