2024 Christine "Chris" Ewing Award

Patient and family centered care award, is awarded in the honor of Christine (Chris) Ewing.  Chris Ewing emnodied all aspects of Patient & Family Centered Care. Chris was known for helping families to cope with stress and loss. Most of all, Chris was known for giving her undivided attention to each and every patient she encountered. She was an amazing listener. She devoted many hours to both the Stroke Program and the Patient and Family Centered Care Advisory Council where she was the co-chair for several years. This award was created to celebrate an employee who embodies the caring spirit of Patient and Family Centered Care, in memory of Chris. (statement on Plaque)
