- Developing and writing high-quality requests for proposal and contracts, including narratives, budgets, statistics, and other supporting documentation

- Coordinating unsolicited inquiry responses for research and data sharing, including preparation and negotiation of contracts/data share agreements

- Manages and oversees all aspects of national program grant and service contract proposal projects to ensure all steps are executed on time and within budget to include:

○ Developing project plan & budget, leading project team, and facilitating completion of tasks according to timelines

○ Managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and external vendors, and contractual deliverables

○ Preparing reports for upper management

○ Researching, recommending, and negotiating resources, terms and conditions

- Following protocol and documentation requirements for each national program contract ensuring audit readiness to successfully engage in and pass audits

- Analyzing and mitigating risk in all contracts and grant related activities

- Other duties as assigned

Accomplishments include:

· Secured over $750,000 in both government and foundation grant funding during my tenure, including a $550,000 contract with the Department of Defense;

· Managed over $3,500,000 in government and foundation contracts including reporting, compliance, and any additional post-award requirements;

· Established brand new standards of practice for the grants department, including an innovative system for monitoring and tracking all grants organization-wide.

  • Company Overview: Sight Savers America is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) that assists underserved children with obtaining eye exams, glasses and other needed eye care from local eye care providers and clinics. Children are referred to Sight Savers America via failed vision screenings at school, referrals from teachers, school administrators, school nurses, eye-care professionals and parents.
  • Follow up with parents of over 10,000 children that failed the school vision screenings;
  • Assist the development department with grant proposals for various programs;
  • Collect and analyze household financial information when a child is uninsured and in need of eye care assistance;
  • Coordinated donated exams for over 250 uninsured low-income children;
  • Update and maintained the online CRM database of referrals;
  • Coordinate with eye care providers to provide eye care assistance for children;
  • Assist with school health screening events across the state including: setting up computers for the different screening stations, instructing and assisting the nurses with the database software, and collecting the results.
