I am eager, and always ready and willing to assist fellow employees with job tasks. I am accustomed to multitasking and working quickly to meet challenging demands. I would consider myself hardworking and reliable with great interpersonal skills. I use kindness and compassion when dealing with discipline issues with the kids I work with. I have a deep passion for fostering children's growth and development. I have also been a foster family for over 10 years. Growing up with having an open home to foster children has taught me about emotional intelligence, how children deal with trauma, and patience. I have a huge passion for kids and guiding them along in life. My educational background includes an AA and I am currently getting my bachelors in social work.
I have been the recipient of the Barbara Adriance Talent Scholarship and the Grier Williams Spirit Award with the Pensacola Children's Chorus. In 2019, I placed 2nd in the University of West Florida Sonata Vocal Competition, I placed 1st in 2020 and I placed 1st in 2021, in the graduating senior competition and 2nd in the upper division. I placed 1st in the county, district, and state events with Florida 4-H Demonstration and Speech Competitions. Being chosen to perform at the American Choral Director Association was an honor and privilege I will never forget as well as being chosen as a national finalist to perform in Carnegie Hall with the Honors Performance Series. I was chosen to be an intern with the Pensacola Children's Chorus. I was awarded the Lagniappe Scholarship, Crescent City Scholarship, and Presidents Scholarship from Loyola University in 2021, I was awarded two scholarships from the Choctaw Bay Music club Florida Federation of Music Clubs in 2021.
I led the song and dance portion of a creative arts camp for 30 children of low income in November 2017. It was a 3 day camp to prevent child sexual abuse. As the children learned about facts of sexual abuse, they were also taught their worth and value. They were given skills to learn how to be assertive and empowered to have the courage to stand up for themselves. I was on the 4-H legislature executive board and volunteered at camps educating young teens about the legislative process and enhancing debate skills. I have led small groups with middle school aged girls helping them learn about confidence and standing up for themselves.
