Senior Production Data Analyst

Monitor deviations from standard within Production Order Management (POM) master data, inventory, global POM Business Rules, plant work processes, and/or order variances investigate the cause for the deviation and correct data in SAP or other systems as appropriate. Reconcile and close production orders after all production posting is complete. Complete all month-end close activities.

Core Responsibilities / Duties

  • Monitor inventory accuracy and production/raw material cost variances and/or production yield variances in SAP.
  • Reconcile raw material and product inventory discrepancies and makes necessary adjustments to correct inventories.
  • Perform Cycle Counting Activities on a prescribed basis.
  • Work with appropriate personnel, lead root cause investigation and develop deviation analysis for investigation and gap closure plan for one time or reoccurring/accumulating deviations that meet global and business trigger criteria.
  • Perform SAP transactions to make appropriate production posting corrections.
  • Work with other plant roles (e.g., Technical Advisor, Production Engineer, etc.) to identify permanent plant process changes and required master data updates.
  • Maintain bills of materials and routing/master recipe, and production version data in SAP and collaboratively, along with Run Plant Engineers, Cost Accounting, and Plant Subject Matter Experts, to determine appropriate changes. Document and gain approval through the Management of Change (MOC) Process. Then performs appropriate SAP transactions to update data as required by business rules.
  • Monitor and update C and D level material master table data for new materials and deletion of discontinued materials completed through the PMR next process within the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team. This involves creating, modifying and/or deleting master table data such as work centers, bills of materials, routings, etc.
  • Perform SAP transactions to reconcile and close production orders after all production posting is complete.
  • Focal Point for Bulk Inventory Management System (BIMS) vessel list and coordination with the maintenance organization on prescribed calibrations and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor performance to schedule and produce to plan metrics on an ongoing and frequent basis and resolves gaps related to order variances, inventory accuracy.
  • Review Cycle Counting Metrics of Inventory Record (IRA) and Financial Inventory Accuracy (FIA) with the plant Cost Accountant.
  • Review and analyze various POM metrics developed by the operations team to drive improvements to meet established goals.
