Duties
Through clinical observation and student teaching, I was able to learn and practice how to scaffold english instruction. Specifically, Covid-19 ensured that my time at Sycamore High School gave me experience both in "in person" learning and "online" learning. My co-operating teachers, colleagues, and I had to create an entirely new curriculum for our classes, built from the ground up to fit the needs of students in online remote learning.
English Clinical Experience
Dundee Crown High School (Clinical Observation 301)
Through Clinical observation at multiple locations, I was exposed to a variety of student's communities and backgrounds. This provided valuable practice at differentiation for student prior knowledge, cultural background, and Maslow hierarchy needs.
