I lost my mom when I was 14, and while it was very hard to lose her at such an early and influential age, I found refuge in the outdoors. Once I started working on ranches and being outdoors daily, my life brightened up as if she was still here with me. While I have loved working in the Texas Hill Country, I have realized there are so many beautiful places I want to see and explore. As a young adult, I've had the opportunity to spend time exploring state and national parks with my aunt and uncle. During this time, I've felt more of a pull to the parks. A pull to work in the parks, and be part of a legacy of stewardship of our public lands. So, while I lack experience, I have many skills and traits that make up for that. I am disciplined, hard working, and trainable. I look forward to having the opportunity to expand my experience in the National Park System.
