• Collaborate with lead welder to ensure that the proper weld procedure, type of material and rod size are accurately assessed for each welding project.
• cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components to dimensions for building and assembling.
• Weld assembly and fabrication of various small to large scale structures and assemblies.
• Setup of safety equipment and work platforms at elevation.
• Operate general shop equipment and vehicles (forklift lifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
• Effectively communicate with management/supervisors, engineering staff and planners to achieve build efficiency.

Operated manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments together. Arrived at the designated work site at the assigned time and end the shift as directed by schedule and supervisor. Provided quality work and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) as required by the work specifications or assigned by the supervisor. Complied with OSHA standards and best safety practices. Prepared work area for hot work, including checking hot work certifications at the work site and adjacent areas. Prepared surfaces for production welding by inspecting joints and cleaning as required. Inspect welds for defects. Able to do full penetration weld with permanent backing (ceramic and metal).
