As a relief Charge, I am responsible for communication with staff: including nurses, techs, doctors, EMS, as well as multiple departments in the hospital.

• Assess and manage patients with varying levels of acuity
• I am responsible for patient safety, providing education to staff, promoting excellent and efficient patient care, as well as adhering to and helping staff be proficient in the standards and policies set by the hospital.
• Overseeing the general flow of the department, a 18 bed ER, averaging 60,000 - 70,000 patient visits a year. Heart center, Stroke Center.

• Assisted as Intrim ED Director with successful planning, staffing, of 18 million dollar ER expansion
• Manages practice of nursing professionals and delivery of care in Emergency setting, including chart reviews for appropriateness of care.
• Worked alongside ER Medical Director to review charts being brought to committees or reviewed with EMS for feedback or evaluation of appropriate care
• Collaborates with all hospital departments to maintain patient care standards, utilizing evidence based practice
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services within the unit
• Management of overall operational, budgetary, and productivity
• Managed performance data including quality, satisfaction, and engagement
• Managed productive performance of employees by fairly enforcing hospital policies, setting up orientation, counseling employees, functioning in a problem solving role
• Created new hire orientation program including on boarding, appropriate preceptor placement, and continual follow up throughout the program
• Assessed department for education need, and developed classes tailored to department need
• Roll outs of multiple technology projects consisting of EMR

system involving patient, staff, physician, and supplies, iMobile application, staff room terminals, and hand hygiene monitoring project

• Level 2 Trauma Center with approximately 190,000 ER visits a year.
• Assessed and managed 5-6 patient with varying levels of acuity
• Managed the full care which encompassed all nursing skills, assessments, interpretation of lab tests, and safety of my patient.
• Worked closely with Physicians and ancillary staff to provide excellent patient care.
• Staff RN and relief Charge RN in a 35 bed Level II ER seeing 65,000 patients per year
• Strong clinical RN with flexibility to float through the different areas of our ER including triage ,fast track and trauma rooms.
• Served as a preceptor and was a member of the preceptor and education committee.
• Served as a resource to staff, both old and new
• Key participant in the Rapid Process Improvement Project to help redesign our ED fast track.
