2023 Mid-Coast Hurricane & Disaster Conference Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer Award Recipient
On April 20, 2023 I Deputy Jorge Franco of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office was awarded the Outstanding Law Enforcement Award. This award is voted on by several agency heads in the region. I was nominated for my work in the year of 2022 when I arrested numerous subjects for various crimes stemming from transnational criminal organizations. Arrest varied from evading, human trafficking / smuggling, narcotics, stolen vehicle and equipment recovery.
