  • Designed and deployed the company's first AWS Direct Connect private connection, linking the GRC Data Center to private VPCs globally to enable dynamic cloud environment scaling.
  • Authored the inaugural Network Reference Architecture for GE Global Research, establishing global LAN/WAN standards that were adopted by the GE Digital Center of Excellence across company locations.
  • Led implementation of private OpenStack Cloud environment @Scale, enabling multitenant private (sandbox) environment for diverse research initiatives while researching alternative Cisco ACI solutions.
  • Deployed Open "Whitebox" switches at GRC's Data Center, and currently looking to automate network switch deployment by creating automation scripts using Ansible or Chef to deploy network infrastructure.
  • Implemented the company's first 1 00-Gig (WAN Circuit) Internet 2 Science DMZ, enabling lightning-fast file and data transfers between GRC and other research labs and universities around the world. Solution drastically improved file transfer times by 100x, enabling researchers to transfer multi-terabyte files worldwide. Also introduced the first IPv6 DMZ for the company during this project.
  • Led end-to-end network architecture and deployment for GE Digital's 1,000+ employee headquarters in San Ramon, including LAN, WAN, wireless, security, and data center connectivity.
  • Led design and implementation of GRC HPC (CRAY Super Computer) move to Alpharetta data center, overseeing relocation of 350 cluster nodes, WAN circuit upgrades to 40 Gbps, and redesign of Nexus 7010 configuration. Completed project one week ahead of schedule.
  • Engineered Network isolation labs for GE Venture acquisition of Wurldtech, enabling virtual sandboxing and protecting both companies' networks.

  • Critical member of project team to migrate over 400 autonomous access points and migrate over to a Cisco (LW AP) Unified Wireless LAN solution. This consisted of configuration and installation of two Cisco (WLC) wireless land controller blades and managing them using a Cisco (WCS) wireless controller system.
  • Resolved second and third level network problems using the HPSD ticket management system, managing network-related issues and service requests efficiently.
  • Worked with other critical groups to configure a wired and wireless guest proxy network solution for GE Global Research, which will give GE more control as to who connects to the GE Network.
  • Researched HP NNMi-9 network monitoring solution to equip the ITMS group with improved tools for network data flow reporting and IP telephone monitoring, strengthened oversight of Niskayuna enterprise campus network.
  • Provided ITMS consultations to scientists in global research to engineer network solutions. One example of this involved EKG mobile monitoring, where a mobile EKG heart monitoring device transmitted live data to a remote data collector at a hospital.
  • Create and update network documentation using MS Visio; document and show logical and physical layer diagrams.
  • Support the GE HPC (High Performance Computing) environment. This consists of managing and maintaining the Voltaire IPoveriB gateway switches, documenting the HPC environment, and working with other support engineers when problems arise.

  • Performed level-3 network support to resolve complex and chronic network problems and vendor interoperability issues on a global network with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, GigE LANs, SONET links and satellite links.
  • Provided engineering support for Intelsat's 53 geostationary satellites, including design and implementation of satellite and terrestrial data and voice networks that provide satellite telemetry and tracking information back to their Satellite Control Center. Overall network infrastructure consisted of 10 TTC&M sites and over 200 earth stations.
  • Engineered and implemented multiple OC-3 links connecting a number of sites using Juniper M40 and M60 routers as members of the GXS (Global Connex) team. This network was put into place to offer IP trunking (ISP service) and dedicated leased line services to countries with limited amounts of fiber and IP infrastructure.
  • Contributed to engineering of a disaster recovery site with advanced LAN/WAN hardware (Cisco 65xx, 37xx, Wireless 12xx AP, Cisco Call Manager 4 and EMC SAN solution), enhancing network resilience.
  • Project lead for designing and implementing new Cisco Wireless 12xx AP solution using WLSE management software and PEAP (Protected Extended Authentication Protocol). Provided wireless and secure login to users through the MS Active Directory account from any Intelsat office around the world.
