Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible to maintain facility operating at full capacity by reducing equipment down time, improving recovery rate (scrap) and maintain staffing levels
• This position required to work with Maintenance, Production and Quality departments to solve problems, implement solutions and process improvements

Accomplishments:

• Production release for 2 new automated line including4 robots
• Introduction of a daily operations tracking report to monitor Quality, Production, Maintenance and Shipping metrics
• Brick recovery (yield) stabilized from 82% to 97%
• Introduction of a down-time tracking report to provide key data to the maintenance department on where to allocate resources
• Developed the Preventive Maintenance Project, implementing a PM schedule for the most used equipment’s in the facility
• Training the team members on Process analysis, 5’s and standard work

Main Responsibilities:

• Manager for different types of manufacturing projects from automotive cable harnesses, gaming and electromechanical builds to plastic injection, clean energy and military grade harnesses
• Additional responsibilities included provide support to the SMT, Machine Shop and Production operations
• Main deliveries where on time quoting for new manufacturing projects, BOM and routing creation, providing technical support to solve issues on production and Project Manager for tier 1 customers
• Project cycle: Receiving blueprints and customer specification, quoting, NPI process, FA approval and production run
• Interaction with customer and teamwork within the departments was crucial to achieve the customer required dates
• Project Quoting/Estimate consists of generating BOM and labor estimate on manufacturing items by following a blueprint
• Interaction with customers and vendors was crucial to provide the best pricing and lead time

Accomplishments:

• FA approval for 3 casino gaming toppers in 2016, becoming the highest revenue orders on 2017 for Cypress Austin
• Production release on a clean energy business project, providing stability to Cypress India and becoming the highest revenue project in 2018
• Troubleshooting and solving an air leak issue in a cable harness used on clean energy generation
• Solution includes defining test method, create test fixture and defining the process to ensure repetitive results
• Implementation and training were completed at the India facility
• Production release for a plastic injection project, working as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing facility in China
• Developed a times study-based labor estimate sheet that help production to achieve efficiency increased from 70% to 90%

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the sintering process positive and flash molding presses for disc brake pads, with over 5000 active P/N; Responsible for developing projects to accomplish scrap, productivity and safety targets
• Provide technical support and perform validation trials to define temperature, pressure and mix weight parameters to achieve the best process results and brake pads performance
• Responsible for the Tool Room

Accomplishments:

• Implementation of a semi-automatic process to recycle brake pads from scrap
• Implementation of Preventing Maintenance process for Flash Mold and Positive Mold tooling
• Ergonomic analysis at Flash Mold area, detecting more than 10 high risk activities
• Cracks scrap reduction on ceramic brake pads from 23% to 9%

Maine Responsibilities:

• Responsible for 2 Production areas, operations on Cord Reels, Balancers, Trolleys, Festoon systems and Cable Grips; 25 products families with over 800 active P/N; Responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and establishing metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle Time); Fixtures and tooling design
• In charge of Prototype production line
• Daily pull system driven production on a “made-to-order” fashion
• Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager

Accomplishments:

• Engineer for the Prototype Line developing over 20 prototypes, 5 become active Part Numbers adding more business to the company
• Productivity increase on area8 (balancers and cord reels) from 72% to 85%
• Redesign of Festoon production line, decreasing cycle time by 52%
• Part of the team that achieve the OSHAS certification for the facility
