3-Year Rotational Apprenticeship Program
- Participated in a structured 3-year apprenticeship rotating through multiple electrical departments in the mine, spending approximately 6 months in each area to gain comprehensive operational knowledge
- First 2 years: alternating 2 weeks of classroom instruction and 2 weeks of hands-on field training under journeyman supervision
- Learned electrical fundamentals including AC/DC theory, ladder diagrams, motor control, PLCs, VFDs, and troubleshooting techniques and more.
- Third year: fully hands-on field work applying skills learned in classrooms across all departments
- Gained experience with various electrical systems and equipment. Developed practical skills installation, troubleshooting, and safety compliance in a high-risk industrial environment
