1. Preparing the Rig Floor:

• Prepare the rig floor for various operations, such as trips (when the drill string is pulled out of the well), connections (joining sections of pipe), and surveys.
• This includes tasks like setting up and removing slips (devices that hold the pipe in place), operating tongs and wrenches to make connections, and ensuring proper alignment of equipment.

2. Handling Tubular Goods:

• Handle and measure drill pipe, tubing, casing, and other tubulars used in the workover process.
• Assist with loading and unloading these materials, and use tools like elevators and tongs to manipulate them during operations.

3. Assisting with Equipment Maintenance:

• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of rig equipment, including pumps, mud systems, and other machinery.
• Help with repairs, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment to ensure smooth operation.

4. Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment on the rig floor.
• Use high-pressure water and cleaning agents to wash down the rig floor and ensure that tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Participated in pre-job meetings to discuss safety protocols and procedures before commencing work activities.

5. Assisting Other Crew Members:

• Assist other crew members, such as the driller, derrickhand, and motorhand, with various tasks as needed.
• Lifting heavy objects, operating equipment, or providing support during complex operations.

6. Other Duties:

• Rigging up and rigging down the workover rig, which includes assembling and disassembling the rig components.
• Drive crew trucks or assist in shop or yard maintenance when necessary.
