  • Within my current position, my responsibility is to always work with safety as top priority.
  • In addition, I am responsible to lay out marking for structural removal, structural prep for placement of my explosives, and to add any Prep work that could help the structure fell in a more efficient manner.
  • Within this responsibility, I am tasked to follow the engineering plans for demolition in a strict manner; anything I am not responsible for or not confident with making a call gets directed to my supervisor.
  • Once the my layouts are complete, I am responsible for supervising and directing the labor crew on how to complete the prep in a safe and time efficient manner.
  • While supervising, I am examining the structure in a precautionary manner to ensure the safety of the working crews and my peers.
  • This includes keeping an eye on structural movement/changes, working machinery near the structure, and overlapping work crews in the area.
  • Once the prep is completed, I participate in assembling the explosives with the proper materials to ensure full capability of the charges (strict quality control).
  • As this task is complete, I then focus on installing the explosives in a safely manner to ensure full detonation of all charges in the correct order.
  • As a Final step on all Projects, I follow a very strict Quality control walk through to ensure all charges are properly aligned, clipped in, wired correctly and all delays are closed.
  • This is to ensure no cut offs or misfires occur, and to provide a very important safety factor for us and our client.

  • This position requires me deliver explosives to assigned projects.
  • I am tasked with maintaining proper count of explosives I am to pull, package, and deliver to the job sites.
  • Within this position, I am required to keep a strict inventory and paper work for not only my employer, but to also ensure the ATF has proper information about our explosives.
  • I am also responsible to follow all Commercial DOT laws for transporting 1.1D explosives.

  • As part of our receiving process, I would safely unload tractor trailers with forklifts, verify quantities thoroughly, and sort out the product according to the warehouse placement.
  • Our shipping process also includes handling the material with care while we would pull it out for shipping.
  • Once placed in the shipping area, I would verify part numbers and quantity to insure the inventory would match the on hand.
  • Within all this, I would also handle the paper work involved with international shipping and receiving using tractor trailers and shipping services such as UPS and FedEx.

  • This position was an additional responsibility that took place within the port of entry for tractor trailers in the Veterans international bridge.
  • I was responsible to maintain a clear back ground in order to maintain a clearance for the port of entry.
  • While working there, I would ensure the international tractor trailers were safe to unload with a fork lift or in rare occasions, determine if it had to be unloaded by hand.
  • Once that was determined, I would place the imported material within the review area, where the CBP agents would inspect and verify the material met all the requirements to be allowed into the United States.
  • Once Completed, I was responsible to carefully and safely put all product back into the trailer as I had received it.
