Volunteered as an outreach coordinator with Fuerza Latina inc. our main focus was to help those with substance abuse problems get the help they needed thru interventions, referrals to detoxes out patient programs, assisted the Organization in implementing the harm reduction methods seeking to minimize the harms that can occur through the use of various substances use, to minimize HIV transmission between intravenous drug users. also focused on STD's to prevent the transmission of HIV through sexual contact , also involved in the early implementation of the needle exchange program in Boston Ma.
