LEAD WELDER After working with the company for a year my manager offered me the position of lead, with 20 years of experience as a fitter/welder and building this entire product for years I know how long the jobs will take from cleaning the parts to the finished product. I was able to help and train new people. I follow the schedule to move people around, depending on my abilities in order to finish the job on time. Worked at the new Exxon petrochemical plant in Gregory, TX. Had been working in shops for 20 years and this was something new for me. Dealt with a lot of safety problems and sometimes had to wait for hours on work permits.
I fitted and welded heat exchangers, heater coils, reflux coils, fire tubes, piping spools, using different processes of welding, operated manual, and semi-automatic welding equipment. Available to work extended hours, responded to service calls quickly and professionally.
