Care for sick or injured workers, and if needed, contact the Physician Assistant on-duty for a consult. Prep patient for the arrival of the Physician Assistant if advanced care is required. If the patient has a life-threatening condition, stabilize and prep the patient for emergency transport to the hospital.
Ensure that the lieutenants under my command were performing their jobs to the best of their abilities, ensuring the smooth running of the station and its operations. Create monthly employee schedule for the entire station. Issue command disciplines or warnings when necessary. Meetings with lieutenants and employees about operational matters and utilize their input for making improvements. Go on patrol to observe the conduct and patient care of units in the streets. Serve as Medical Incident Commander at MCI's and Standbys when needed. Meet with superior officers and review Station/Department operations and new protocols.
