Animal Control Officer
- Investigated and gathered information regarding animal-related complaints.
- Impounded animals received from around the public.
- Responded to daily calls to enforce animal control regulations.
- Euthanize animals not claimed after 3 days of being impounded.
- Release animals after being claimed by the owner
- Attended to calls reporting of wild animal bites.
- Observe animals in quarantine under observation for rabies.
- Clean the Animal Shelter daily to disinfect from any transmittable diseases.
- Patrol the city during the weekdays and weekends (If on call)
- Perform search warrants for citizens continuously being cited for not following the law.
Wastewater Treatment Operator.
- Daily rounds in the morning to get readings for the pumps, check all pumps and lift stations.
- Maintain the sewer plant daily (Clear bar screen of any rags, wipes, whatever gets caught, shovel grit into a trailer which will be disposed of when full, shovel imhoff tanks of anything built up on the surface of the water, squeegee tanks, add chemicals and enzymes to help get rid of grease, check and maintain sludge levels to ensure everything is kept healthy and will not go septic.)
- Repair sewer lines when damage has been found.
- Tap sewer lines when a house is built.
- Repair pumps if anything is wrong or broken.
- Clear main line with a sewer jett when a citizen calls in about a stoppage, or when a stoppage is found.
