  • As an Ironworker, work is contract based and I have worked with a number of companies through out my career. I hope you find my chronicle of work experience helpful.
  • Working with KWH CONSTRUCTORS INC, my responsibilities where in set up rigging equipment including hoists and slings to lift heavy material into place. Fabricated and assembled metal forms to create structures such as bridges, buildings, towers, and girders.
  • Following directions of my foreman with CHERNE CONTRACTING CORPORATION I had to, secured steel components together using a variety of fastening methods including bolting and riveting techniques. Assembled prefabricated metal parts into complete units using bolts or welding techniques. Loaded and unloaded building materials from trucks utilizing crane operations and hoisting devices as needed. Erected structural steel columns, beams, trusses, stairs, ladders, and handrails according to job specifications. Utilized oxy-acetylene torches to cut steel members according to blueprint specifications. Connected columns, beams and girders with bolts, following blueprints, and instructions from supervisor
  • As a forman for SPECIALTY WELDING & TURNAROUND as well as SCHULTZ INDUSTRIAL SERVICES company I performed layout and fabrication of reinforcing steel components using blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions. Installed reinforcing bars in concrete forms for foundations and other structures. Operated forklifts to move materials around the jobsite safely and efficiently. Conducted safety meetings prior to beginning any task; ensured compliance with OSHA regulations during each shift worked. Maintained tools and equipment in good working condition; ensuring proper lubrication at all times. Cleaned finished products after installation was complete; removed debris from worksite upon project conclusion.
  • With SCHUFF STEEL my job requirements entailed in Installing ornamental wrought iron pieces such as fences and gates per customer specifications and drawings provided. Assisted with connecting columns, beams and girders with bolts. Cut, bent, or welded steel pieces using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.
