Ambassador
Amazon
Nampa, ID
01.2021 - 07.2023
In January 2021, I began my employment with Amazon as a laborer. Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to the role of Ambassador. In this position, I was responsible for training new hires and ensuring they clearly understood their roles and responsibilities within the organization. I regularly led training sessions for groups of 5–10 employees, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their positions
When not conducting training sessions, I worked as a STOW Associate. In this role, I was responsible for accurately placing incoming products into designated storage locations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory organization and supporting overall operational workflow.
I also served as a Water Spider Lead at Amazon, where I was responsible for supporting warehouse operations by ensuring a consistent flow of inventory to STOW associates. In this role, I down-stacked totes containing products onto carts and distributed them efficiently across the floor to prevent workflow interruptions. I monitored inventory levels at each station to ensure associates did not run out of product, helping maintain productivity and operational efficiency. This position was physically demanding, requiring the handling of totes with varying weights and manually transporting them throughout the facility. The role also involved extensive movement, with an average of 20–25 miles walked per shift.
I also worked as a PICK Associate, where I was responsible for accurately selecting customer orders and placing them into totes for processing. I ensured that items were picked efficiently and sent promptly to the next stage for packaging and shipment, supporting timely and accurate order fulfillment.
When additional staffing was needed, I cross-trained in the DECANT department. In this role, I was responsible for unloading incoming trucks and placing products onto a conveyor system for processing. These items were then handled by decant associates, who removed products from their shipping containers and transferred them into totes. The totes were subsequently routed via conveyor to STOW stations, where inventory was organized and stored for customer fulfillment.
