My composites fabrication/ closed volume molding operator, and painting experience in the Aerospace Corporation will play a huge factor in understanding both the struggles and successes the manufacturing floor faces on a day to day. Composite Fabricator/ CVM Operator Trainee

  • Set up resin pumps ensuring pump/ vent resin lines are properly installed to the Closed Volume Mold to conduct proper injection cure.
  • Performed proper maintenance on tearing down, cleaning, and rebuilding resin pumps, performed de-mold replacing seals after each cure on all closed volume moldings.
  • Conducted use of hand/ power tools to open/ close moldings.
  • Perform laying up plies on mandrels prior to loading onto mold. Installment of seals onto mandrels/ molds prior to injection cures.
  • 4 years of composite bonder/ fabricator experience.
  • Successfully completed Composites Level 1 course
  • Cut and fabricated composite parts to specified size per work instructions
  • Highly-Proficient working with wet lay-ups, ply-orientations(0,45,90 degrees) vacuum bagging process/materials such as breather, mockbird, armalon, preforated/ non-preforated release film, peel ply, fiberglass, and prepreg.
