For the past three years, I have served as a district-approved volunteer at my children's school, working with students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This role has allowed me to assist in various classrooms, providing individualized support to students and helping teachers implement learning strategies tailored to different needs. As an autism mom, I bring a unique perspective and deep empathy to my volunteer work, which has enhanced my ability to understand and support students with diverse learning profiles, including those with autism. My experience has helped me develop strong communication and advocacy skills, as I work closely with both educators and families to foster inclusive, supportive environments for all students.
