  • This required continuous partnering with a multitude of agencies (NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NYCDEP, NYPD, PANYNJ, BPCA, MTA, FHWA, FTA, FHWA, Mayor’s Office ) and other stakeholders in coordinating reconstruction activities in a very space constrained, highly sensitive environment, with tight construction windows
  • The main challenges were coordinating the construction schedules for active construction projects across various agencies while maintaining our own projects within budget and schedule and meeting Environmental Performance Commitments
  • Work at Ground Zero also included emergency construction such as the Vesey Street pedestrian bridge needed to assure safety of pedestrians crossing between PATH station and World Financial Center.

Construction Area Supervisor

  • R11 (NYC)
  • Managed construction projects of various sizes and complexity and State/Consultant resources for construction inspection and design support
  • Project types included bridge rehabilitation and replacement, pedestrian bridges, emergency response, paving, facility maintenance, marine construction, and parks construction
  • Managed an average of ten projects with combined in-house and consultant staff
  • Coordinated construction with NYCDOT OCMC, NYCDEP, NYCDPR, Con Edison, NYC Signals & Lighting, and various community boards; Average magnitude of portfolio of projects was over $200M with cumulative staff of about 50

Managed the progression of the $100M South Promenade -Route 9A construction safely, on-time, and within budget under challenging site conditions and unique project requirements
