As a Journeyman Lineman, I have worked across both transmission and distribution systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Assembling and erecting steel structures, strung conductors, and dead-end conductors on H-frame structures (wood and steel).
• Changing bells of a double dead-end on 66kV lines and opening and closing switches on 69kV lines
• Holding High Line Orders (HLO) and clearances
• Framing and setting transmission and distribution poles both on the ground and in the air using helicopters
• Installing three-phase 12,000/6,930kV wye systems (both overhead and underground)
• Installing transformer banks and performing all necessary rigging
• Completing secondary and service transfers, and performing all associated tasks and duties of the trade
• Training in rubber-glove operations and using a full range of tools, including shotgun, hand, alligator, O-ring, tie stick, and more
• Proficient in various configurations of transformer bank installations and service transfers

As a Foreman Lineman, I led projects and managed the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of electrical systems. Key responsibilities and accomplishments include:

• Constructed a new 13,800kV distribution line, including framing and setting poles, stringing conductors, and sagging conductors
• Installed transformer banks, span-guys, and down guys to ensure proper system support and stability
• Updated a 230kV substation, including changing insulator stacks, stringing conductors, making jumpers, and installing new bus systems and switches
• Adjusted switches to optimize system performance and reliability
• Worked on three-phase reconducting for 7,200/12,470kV wye systems (overhead and underground distribution)
• Installed customer service secondary systems and updated existing systems
• Used all hot tools such as shotgun, hand, alligator, O-ring, and tie stick for live-line work
• Performed various types of rigging for pole and transformer bank installations
• Set poles both on the ground and in the air with the assistance of a helicopter
• Transferred transformer banks and secondary services to new poles while ensuring all work was done on energized lines
• Managed regular system maintenance, including changing poles, cross-arms, insulators, dead-end bells, and transformers (single-phase, bi-phase, and three-phase)
• Operated heavy equipment to assist in the installation and maintenance of the electrical infrastructure

As a Journeyman Lineman, I was responsible for installing and maintaining high-voltage transmission systems. Key tasks included:

• Installed potential meters and changed oil fuses for system maintenance
• Built a 7,200/12,470kV line, including stringing, sagging, and clipping in conductors
• Replaced and repaired damaged insulator bells and hardware
• Patrolled and inspected transmission lines at 69kV, 115kV, 230kV, 345kV, and 500kV
• Performed hot work on 115kV line, cross-arms and bare-hand work on 230kV and 500kV transmission lines, including the replacement of spacers and conducting maintenance in substations.
• Performed all associated duties within the lineman trade, ensuring safety and operational efficiency
