Project manager / Part owner

Kellaney Contracting
Joliet, IL
06.2003 - 11.2005
  • Part company owner and field supervisor for the company that built sites for the cell phone industry. Most sites were towers that were built from the ground up and could be up to several hundred feet in height. Others sites were built on existing structures such as skyscrapers, apartment buildings, hospitals, water towers, grain silos, etc...
  • During my time here I supervised and took the lead in building every site that the company was responsible for. Most job bidding was done by myself and the other owners and while out in the field I was responsible for payroll, equipment rental, lodging, and staffing several job sites at once. Welding, concrete work, electrical skills, carpentry, landscaping, operating heavy machinery and assembly were required skills on the job site.

  • Also performed machine maintenance and calibration of most shop equipment. My earlier experience in HVAC and electrical also came into play here many times over the years since the shop could not have any variance in temperature. I was usually the first one to handle any issues or failures.
