  • Serves as an IT Specialist and a Telecommunications Systems Technician in a tier two Earth Terminal Complex (ETC), which provides continuous secure telecommunications support to a wide variety of official users worldwide twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Responsible for interfacing with the various secure computers, data, facsimile, video, voice, and Teletype systems, as well as all other circuits entering, exiting, and existing in the mainframe computer systems linked to the Tech Control Facility (TCF) inside of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • Perform circuit activation including cable fabrication and other installation requirements to satisfy the completion of approved and emergency circuit requirements; supervise all Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and operator level demand maintenance on all assigned communication equipment. In addition to the installation, removal, and maintenance of Communications Circuit System Designator’s (CCSD) in cooperation of the Node Site Coordinator in Circuit Actions.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and the installation of cryptographic, satellite, security, and other electronic communications equipment and systems; Provide the Command Staff and Operations Chief with sound technical advice in an effort to support the mission, polices, and regulations directed by higher headquarters and other governmental agencies. Very well versed in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting while insuring the continuous movement of voice and data communications from one location to another via such major communications networks as Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Satellite Trunks, Ground Mobile Forces (GMF) missions, White House Communications Agency (WHCA) missions, National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) missions, Spread Spectrum Multiple Access (SSMA) missions and communications utilizing the AN/USC-28 modem, operations and maintenance of the AN/FRC-181 Military Strategic Tactical and Relay (MILSTAR) Command Post Terminal, complex circuits and systems; Interpreting schematic diagrams, single line diagrams, and drawings.
