Joseph Darnell

I am a junior Biology student at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and I have consistently made the Dean's List and Chancellor's List. Working part-time as a delivery driver and fast food employee has helped me build strong teamwork and communication skills, which I look forward to applying in my future career. I am passionate about forensic science and plan to pursue medical school to become a forensic pathologist.

Ocean Advocacy Workshop 2024

• I attended the North Carolina Ocean Advocacy Workshop on March 22–23, 2024, at Haw River State Park. It was a great event about learning to protect oceans and the environment through social media, civic action, and advocacy. The workshop covered topics like ocean plastics, ecogrief, NC fisheries, and legal ways to protect nature. It was a really inspiring experience.
