Provides expertise and support on complex and strategic employee and labor relations issues to UTA executives, managers, and supervisors. Helps leadership manage employee/labor relations. Provides UTA's official contract interpretation to operational managers and executives regarding UTA's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Manages CBA compliance. Supervises grievance process to ensure company policies and grievance procedures are followed. Investigates and responds to grievances. Negotiates settlements to grievances and discipline reviews. Represents UTA management in discipline review hearings and the Grievance Resolution Committee. Leads groups in identifying and implementing changes to business processes to comply with contractual requirements, or to improve business processes that meet business needs within the context of the CBA- Performs complex employee and labor relations duties without frequent supervision, including conflict resolution services to management, union leadership, and bargaining unit employees. Identifies, drafts, and distributes employee communications.

Supervises a team of Operators. Schedules Operator work assignments, provides support, operator development and responds to Operator needs. Abilities include quick decision making, sensitivity & diplomacy, functioning effectively under stress. Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.
Bus Operator - (Working 35-45 Hours a week M-S)
Operate busses & coaches (MCI) throughout the Wasatch Front. Knowledge of all city and rural routes out of the Mt. Ogden facility. Responsible for the safety & movement of public passengers. Strengths are safety, reliability, face to face communication with passengers and to keep within designated time points.
Property Manager - (Working 25-35 Hours a week M-F)
Vast experience in real estate, investor and portfolio management. Strengths include sales skills, critical thinking and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels. More than 15 years overseeing and maintaining up to 120 residential units including apartment buildings. Proficient and versed in all aspects of leasing, marketing, staffing, financial reviews and budgeting. Focused on satisfying tenants and maintaining high occupancy rates. Reports any major issues to property owners and takes initiative in finding workable solutions.
United Parcel Services - (Working 60+ hours a week M-F)
Eighteen years experience with large management background in Human Resource & Operations. Ability to manage both small and large groups of employees, training, safety, production, moral, conflict resolution, speaking, mentoring, etc. through the staffing of employees and process. Working with both lateral & upper management support functions as well as employees group to create a team concept to achieve both business and employee (teamster-contract) standards.
Have worked with UTA's Business Unit operational leaders as their trusted business consultant and advocate as a human capital management expert in all aspects of HR and labor relations matters. Weighed in with UTA's Business Unit Management in keep their procedures in alignment with current CBA interpretations and appropriate business practices. Furthered relationships with UTA's COO leader's to move forward UTA Way initiative's, along with their directives and visions for UTA in all Divisions. Have worked one on one with UTA's Union President & Executive Officers in listening & understanding their issues to resolve and/or minimize disputes of the CBA before they become grievances. Strategized grievance negotiations with the Director of Human Resources & Labor Relations on the CBA interpretations. Sat 2nd chair in the selecting for five different case Arbitrators. Audit and ensure UTA's "COLA" increases align with current CBA wage rate schedule deadlines for all 1700+ BU employees every 6 months. Assisted in recommendations with current HRBP's in their labor matters, interpretations and look over discipline letter while working with the HRBP's client groups. Maintain all employee seniority rank & draw list with ATU. Investigate complaints and been main correspondent as a first point of contract with ATU presidency.

Combined sort count of over 2000 employees to keep staffed. Hired, trained and documented all package car helpers for entire state of Utah during Christmas time.
In charge of running several On-Road (Package Car Driver) center operations from Ogden to Salt Lake . Responsible for up to dispatching 105 drivers including coverage routes daily with accurate deliver and pick-up packages stop counts and projected routes times to service customers. Operations manager for several AM & PM Hub Operations, including running the Salt Lake Hub shifts (Preload, Day, Twilight, Midnight sorts). Responsible for up to 300 employees on Twilight & Midnight sorts.Part of a special PAS team to develop specific route plans and part of the efficiency initiatives during the revamping of the DIAD systems.
