Summary

Over 20 years of diverse experience in business, development on United State Agency for International Development (USAID), Internattional Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and ViiV Health Care a Positive Action Children Fund projects Nigeria. Fourteen (14) years working for the US department of defense (USDOD) overseeing medical support for wounded US soldiers and foreign nationals in USA, Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany.

Joseph has over 20 years of diverse experience in business, development on United State Agency for International Development (USAID), Internattional Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and ViiV Health Care a Positive Action Children Fund projects in Nigeria. Fourteen (14) years working for the US department of defense (USDOD) overseeing medical support for wounded US soldiers and foreign nationals. Joseph has the added advantage of knowing the terrain and key stakeholders in the PMTCT and water sector. He gain this knowledge from living in many states mainly FCT,Abia, Ebonyi and Anambra and Imo for 6 years managing various NGO projects. As a result he knows the terrain and road network and he also understands the cultural and political dynamics of key stakeholders. Joseph is an American/Nigerian citizen and he was honorably discharged from the US Army in 2008, before he came to Nigeria to join his family. He served in several duty tours in Iraq, Germany, and Afghanistan and was at the fore front of occupation Freedom Iraq. Joseph recently closed out a Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) funded project where he worked as a project manager to strengthen the organizational capacity of 75 Civil Society Organization (CSOs) in Anambra and Ebonyi State, where he was the project manager. Joseph also has knowledge in the fight against HIV and AIDS especially in the area of PMTCT and in strengthening its primary health care system for quality health care. He managed the UK ViiV Health Care Positive Action Children Fund (PACF) project which played a very significant role in supporting Nigeria government in two States (Abia and Imo) to improve access to and utilization of PMTCT and other HIV prevention services available at the local government and community level. The project supported over 105 communities in Abia and Imo State by improving uptake of PMTCT services especially for the women and girls of reproductive age. Joseph has NGO experience as a Chief of Party (COP) for a USAID funded project which supported over 16000 orphans and vulnerable children.

  • I have extensive experience as operation manager, I supervised the construction and opening of 15 troop clinics that served over 160,000 coalition forces and Iraqi civilians
  • Providing palliative care for soldier and counseling for their family members on end-of-life care grieve and bereavement management, psychosocial support and coping mechanisms.
