As the first section customers saw when walking into the south entrance, I was often the first point of contact when it came to questions and issues customers had.
At VSS I started off as one of the workers building kits on the floor, this entailed moving through the warehouse in an efficient manner and grabbed the correct parts and quantities as described by the orders from Hill AFB.
After a few months of this, I moved into our receiving bay department where I would receive 3 shipments every morning, help unload the shipment and ensure the quantities were written on the ledger. I'd then get the signatures required and brought the manifest to our supervisor. My main job after receiving shipments was breaking down the shipments, and counting and quality checking the parts we received.
As an insider, I was often bounced around the inside across different stations depending on what station needed help. Whether it was taking phone orders, making the pizzas, or what other random tasks that popped up throughout the shift.
As a seasonal worker at Black Island Farms, my main priority and job was customer interactions. I would be put in charge of some of the seasonal events, such as the slides or bouncy houses, and would resolve any questions or issues that arose in those areas.
