Camping overnight, and heading out to different sites across Lake Tahoe BMU. These sites would include, trails, trailheads, beaches, etc... At these sites I would be in charge of surveying visitors across three different types of surveys: standard, economics, and satisfaction. Through this job I saw the difficulties behind data gathering deepening my appreciation for good clean data. Gained insight on how self reported data can bring issues furthering a need for proper data collection. I learned how overall different types of data call for different means of collection like having to hike deep into trails for surveys. Lastly I gained more experience with quick decision making and problem solving while out in the forest alone for long periods of time. With a consistent lack of service many precautions where taken.

• Served as the sole overnight staff member, managing all customer service and operational responsibilities with consistency and reliability. As the on-site manager duties included checking guests in and out, addressing inquiries, and fulfilling customer needs such as providing toiletries. As the on-site auditor during night shifts, I handled managerial tasks, routed reservations, processed audits, and ensured accurate financial reporting. Throughout my time I had gained proficiency in M3 and Opera systems, as well as a strong understanding of taxes, including transient occupancy tax.

• Managed store operations in a fast-paced, understaffed environment by taking on multiple roles, including opening the store, setting up equipment, managing inventory, and taking customer orders. Acted as shift lead by addressing customer concerns, delegating tasks, and supporting food preparation during peak hours. Ensured smooth closing procedures, including cleaning, balancing cash drops, and securing the store. Demonstrated strong multitasking, problem-solving, and leadership skills to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
