I mostly dealt with the homeowners and drove multiple company trucks and trailers due to the unique custom jobs that we did. The owner of Innovative Renovations was by far the smartest and most creative individual I've ever known in the construction industry. He only dealt with wealthy homeowners that had unique ideas and he would incorporate in innovative god given talent and they would come to an agreement with an unbelievable idea and we would get it done. He typically only took on jobs that were $150.000 and up. Most jobs were months long and required massive amounts of materials and lots of custom items as well. I did some labor but most all of my time consisted of comforting the homeowners throughout the lengthy process of the job and driving the trucks and trailers either to the construction landfills or to pick up any and all materials throughout the projects until they were complete.

Accomplishments

    I was immediately given the role of truck and trailer duties due to my relationships with multiple construction landfills in the Kansas City Metro area and highly referenced experience from my previous job with Innovative Renovations. I excelled in customer communication with both companies due to my trustworthy, honest and personable character. Most projects took multiple days, sometimes weeks to accomplish. Showing up every day to discuss the progress and specifics of everything that is going on and any issues that we came across due to the multiple stages of the project impressed and eased the stress of the homeowner's that they referee us to enough people that advertising was never an issue. You don't know what the subfloor looks like until the old flooring is removed and you don't know what issues we can run into after removing the old subfloor as well. Homeowners are very impressed with the amount of communication that is given before, during and after the project is compleat. While working with Innovative Renovations I was told by the smartest construction hall of famer that I was the best driver and trailer man he had ever worked with. The position he put me in made my transition to Subfloor Solutions not just smooth, but I felt beyond confident and most of all, proud. It became crystal clear to me how much I love driving and the amount of knowledge I've obtained pertaining to the construction landfills, employees, owners and how it all works. I also love the fact that they close at 4:30PM. I became a workaholic and that's bad for your health all around. Most of all, my son said he is beyond excited to start spending time with his dad that's not always exhausted, grumpy and always home way to late. P.S, I encourage whoever wants to, to check my driving record because I'm proud of that as well. Its a blessing that I'm so excited to become an asset to someone doing something that I love and having the confidence that I've earned that's not just going to get me to my goals, I plan on helping as many people as I can along the way. Its only fair because a couple people did it for me.
