  • Pre-site visit/meeting with the project manager/construction manager to verify the area and for the temporary traffic diversion as per the requirement (before planning the Traffic Diversion Plan).
  • Carry out regular road safety inspections for the temporary traffic diversions, and meet all the requirements of the Work Zone Traffic Management Guidelines (PWA).
  • Liaise with stakeholders and the police as necessary during and after the installation of the traffic diversion plan.
  • Ensure that any interfaces, both within the project and with adjacent projects, are properly coordinated and documented.
  • Ensure the procurement of all traffic-related materials (barriers, sign boards, solar boards, etc.) for the TDP is available on site before installing the traffic diversion plan.
  • Deploy the TDP supervisor/team for the day and night with necessary equipment and other needed resources as and when required, and ensure execution is done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure the availability of the emergency team (traffic management) to address any unexpected road disturbances at the site due to bad weather or emergencies.
  • Communicate with the consultant or client in advance if any modifications are made to the approved TDP, and take the necessary approval from the MOI as required
  • Manage the interface with other contractors related to traffic management.
  • Coordinate with authorities such as traffic management, road safety division, and Ashghal.
  • Design a review traffic control plan and traffic impact assessment in compliance with the Code of Practice for street work, and authority requirements in Qatar.
  • Work closely with the senior project manager/producer to ensure that the full workload of the team is visible.
