I started working when I was 15 years old at a local restaurant, Noah's Ark Restaurant in Bremerton, Washington. I worked there until I graduated, June of 1980.
After high school I spent the summer working for the State of Washington Department of Natural Resources fighting forest fires. It was a temporary job.
I then went back to work at Noah's Ark until
April of 1985. I then worked at Stirrett-Johnsen Mechanical, Inc. as what's known as 'a shop kid.' Basically it's a job where I was a gopher. I delivered material to job sites, loaded trucks, clean out job trailers, etc.
I started my five year plumbing apprenticeship in January of 1986. I worked as a union commercial plumber for the last thirty five plus years, retiring in November of 2021. I worked for many different contractors, as construction is a hit and miss career.
I now live in Fairfield with my wife and animals.
