Manage and perform monthly safety and operation inspections of company's fleet of 32 mail delivery trucks, 7 semi trucks, 16 tractor trailers. Drive service truck to main US Postal service hubs to perform maintenance and repairs of company fleet at locations in Everett, Blaine and Redmond. During peak and holiday seasons drive 30' 25,000LB GVWR box truck and deliver mail from hub locations to smaller post offices located around Western Washington.
Fleet maintenance of 1 to 4 axle semi trailers and chassis for Republic Waste Services, USPS and smaller local companies. Fleet maintenance consists of federal FHWA inspections and minor repairs such as repair of wiring harnesses and electrical systems to ensure the safe operation of trailers and vehicles on roadways, replacing suspension components/tires and brake jobs consisting of work with air brake systems and ABS systems to major repairs such as repairing crashed trailers and rebuilding king pin assemblies and frame sections from OEM measurements. Other duties consist of performing emergency roadside repairs of trailer components anywhere in Snohomish and Skagit county and mechanical work on diesel equipment ranging from light utility trucks to dump trucks and agricultural equipment.
Drive crew members to work sites in large work trucks. Perform maintenance work on storm water runoff systems to maintain operation during normal and severe storm conditions, maintain the visual aspect of visible storm water retention ponds and bioswales and clear brush, garbage, road debris and beaver dams from retention ponds, bioswales and drainage culverts. Safely use and maintain gas powered tools such as mowers and brush cutters, and hand tools.
