- Confirm rooftop layout, as well as electrical plans, with the homeowner.
- Make sure all penetrations in the roof are sealed properly. Take photos of each step to document work being done. Make sure all clamps and fasteners are tightened all the way down at completion of job.
- Electrical work: Mark out where you want your boxes, making sure no obstructions are in the way. Make interconnection to generate power via backfeed, or hot tap. Make sure the pipe is strapped according to code, which differs depending on the material.
- Connect roof top solar arrays to communication center (envoy), via pipe in the attic.
- Once everything is complete, do a test on the system to make sure all the panels are communicating and producing power. Once the job is complete, do a walk-through with the homeowner and answer any questions.
- Make sure they know about what comes next. Inspection, utilities, and time frame on when those will be completed.
